We fully support the Fighting Back with Facts campaign, particularly as it provides a platform for installers. They are on the front line, selling to homeowners and need to have information to be able to counteract any arguments against PVC.

However, the main focus of PVC-U campaigns seem to be on windows. But we shouldn’t forget about PVC-UE cellular foam roofline.

Most homes still have timber roofline. And because homeowners don’t know a lot about this part of their home, or the benefits of replacing timber roofline with PVC-UE roofline, installers need to be able to deal with exaggerated or false claims for timber. You can’t sell effectively to people who have been misinformed or misled. You have to make the case for PVC-UE and to do that you need information and the confidence to present the facts.

As we’re all seen, a lot of window installers are diversifying into roofline because the replacement window market is declining. They may not know everything about roofline because not many suppliers are offering them the support they need.
